Whitehall Diner is located on MacArthur Rd. They are open Wed - Sat 7AM - 9PM and Sun 7AM - 8PM. I've been coming here for years. I dined for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even late night when they were open 24 hours. The food is always fresh and the staff is always welcoming. My most recent visit I ordered chicken noodle soup, bing bong shrimp, and brisket mac & cheese. Everything was fantastic! All the food, including the desserts, is homemade. Pickup is available, but there is no delivery. Chicken Noodle Soup - 8.1 Bing Bing Shrimp - 8.3 Brisket Mac & Cheese - 8.3 Food - 8.2 Service - 8.2 Value - 8.2 Restaurant score - 82

My grilled chicken pita was perfectly executed. I never imagined doing a post about the most perfect pierogies, but here we are. They were not overly hard like so many serve them & still easy to pick up and dip with some sour cream. Our server was super friendly and mentioned what great selections we had made. It's always busy here and with good reason. The food has never disappointed and we only wish we had room for something yummy from the bakery. My husband enjoyed his brisket over Mac n cheese. He's a little obsessed with orange cheese from years of Kraft products (before me), but he commented that there was tons of meat.

They make jams, baked goods, soups and salad dressings. Coffee was pretty good. Pumpkin pancakes were very good. Also tried blueberry pancakes. I thought they make pancakes from scratch because they make baked goods, but pancakes are from a box. Friend liked steak & eggs medium rare. Chorizo Breakfast was so good. We enjoyed vegetable soup and chicken & rice soup. Chicken & barley soup had good homemade taste.and homemade chilli was pretty rich. They also make french onion soup. Chicken Caesar salad was very good and they serve a hot roll with salad. Steamed broccoli was good. We also tried corn, french fries, onion rings, cole slaw, mac & cheese, Martin chips. We tried chicken breast with housemade crab. Brother's go-to is Cranberry Chicken meal. Friend said stuffed peppers with marinara sauce was sweet. Freshly broiled Haddock was good. Grilled Rachel and grilled Ruben sandwiches were very good. Strawberry cheesecake was very good. We also tried pumpkin cheesecake, chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting and baklava.

Excellent food! Ate Bourbon glazed Salmon over rice. Perfectly cooked the last two times I ordered this. Literally melts in your mouth. My son had pancakes, excellent! I took a star off for two reasons, and it's happened in the past and happened today: 1. When they brought our food, they didn't have syrup for my sons pancakes, no big deal, but when I asked politely the person seemed annoyed and said, "I'll let your server know". I've worked in restaurants, I would have helped out my fellow woker and grabbed it. By the time our server came back with it, about five minutes went by. 2. Coffee refills, or lack there of. This is a crowd pleaser for people who like coffee and easy to do. Having someone walk around with a coffee pot is not hard . We were not offered until server came back toward end of our meal and asked us if we wanted more. Again, not the first time. It may sound picky, but I wasn't comfortable with the approaches.

This place was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint. We arrived around 10 for breakfast. He had eggs Benedict (traditional) but they had several variations to choose from. I had a gouda and bacon omelet... both were delicious. Server was very professional and polite. The place was clean. We could not resist a slice of cake.... the display is visible as you walk in. It was hard to decide but we went with oreo cheesecake.... couldn't even finish it all! The prices were very, very reasonable. We would definitely go back.

I had the chorizo breakfast and I was so pleased with my order. The chorizo breakfast platter is just something you should try if you haven't already. If their breakfast is that good I can't wait to come here again and try something from their lunch and dinner menu. I also had a French Onion Soup with was also so good. I loved it. Not the best I ever had but definitely up there. I will return.
